Turkish BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office

The Turkish Chairmanship aimed to strengthen efforts that contribute to peace, stability and economic cooperation in the Black Sea region, in line with BSEC founding principles.

Priorities included updating the BSEC Economic Agenda, advancing a Regional Trade Facilitation Strategy and a Framework for BSEC Single Window Cooperation, and reactivating the Business Council as the private-sector pillar of the organization.

Albanian Chairmanship-in-Office

Motto: “Coming together for a sustainable post COVID era.” Sectoral priorities: tourism, transport and infrastructure, cultural heritage, Sustainable Development Goals, good governance, and BSEC–EU interaction.

1 January – 31 December 2020

Romanian Chairmanship-in-Office

Motto: “Bridging Shores through Enhancing Cohesion.” Focus on transport and connectivity, environment and green energy, SDGs, economic development and competitiveness. Chairmanship of the Business Council held by CCIR, with Mr. Mihai Daraban as Chairman-in-Office.

Hellenic Chairmanship-in-Office

Priorities: blue-economy growth, transport cooperation, green energy and transport, climate impact and cultural heritage, tourism.

1 January – 30 June 2019

Bulgarian Chairmanship-in-Office

Held by the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Priorities included the blue economy, connectivity (transport, energy, infrastructure), culture, wine and traditions, and digitalization. Chairman-in-office: Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov, President of BCCI.
